In 1969, WC Marshall aspired to create a better military bag that would stand the rigors of the dense Vietnam jungle. After testing several variations of nylons and attachments, he finally settled on a combination of them all and invented the "69W" Bag. The "69" was for the last year of the war ("W") where he was a soldier.
In 1990, Marshall was approached by the LAPD SWAT Team to help them create a tactical bag that would be lightweight, yet, functional. That year, Marshall created the "6990" Tactical Bag and the company has never looked back.
